The Hunger Games?

It's just a thought, but the hunger games has 24 participants, so if each of us chose 6 of our ocs (3 boys, 3 girls) they could have a hunger games (24 also helpfully divides into 3 and 2 as well, so we are not actually constrained if someone doesn't want to rp). we could assign them districts based on their personalities etc (for example, i would want to assign yuiko to district 11 because of her love of nature) and we could design the arena and be the gamemakers, creating freakish happenings and muttations within the arena. it would involve awkwardly killing off other people's ocs, but hey, we're all friends here, i'm sure we can deal with it.

i think this idea may have been milling around before, so i thought i would suggest it, but the one harriet already suggested sounds epic, i just thought i would put this out there.

a career is where you train to be a tribute from an early age. it's not allowed, but districts 1,2 and 4 do it.you should therefore asign the characters who have the best chances of winning to these districts, to make it the most accurate, although obviously tributes from other districts can win too (like catniss). that is why i wanted cas and wings as careers - because they would have trained, it is their personality, and they are very powerful - and catalyst because s/he is so god-modding s/he would probs be a career.
a wild boy just means: he'd be pretty wild. feral. it's not a fancy term.

one thing i would like to point out also: we should kill off quite a few of our ocs right at the start, in the bloodbath at the cornucopia. this is realistic, but more importantly, it will be easier to rp once we have a few fewer ocs. I suggest that we nominate some beforehand, because otherwise ocs could get killed off that we really wanted to rp in the hunger games. for the rest of it we'll just roll with it, is my suggestion.

I'm nominating the two girls I haven't seen in like a year (Jessie, Daisy) and then I'll decide on the rest later for who does and doesn't suit this rp. Naturally Logan and Karl are off limits until they've hooked up and such. Probably at the reaping (is that the term) when everyone gets announced and such because drama and yay trains >w> I dunno, I don't know the plot so well so why don't you just go for it?

Oh and did the songs make you sufficently soppy/ (beginning to realise they were more sexual/kinky than romantic but yolo. Yaoi does things to a person.) I have less creepy ones but they're all horrendously poppy *eww gross*

Annabelle and her confusion have inspired an evil plan of geniousness for Karl;
He and Logan shall be forming a "gay camp" in the hunger games as they believe that gays already have enough shit coming at them from the judgemental, outside world so that they do not need even more trouble by having to kill one another and that they should live in rainbow harmony. This is an offical hungers announcment oh yes.

Elaine is coming over for the lols and the free cake made by all the homosexual menaces there, who can make cake from anywhere because their unicorns poop frosting and cake mix.

ok: i shall commence with the reapings:

Angel's name was only in the ball ten times, despite being 18. he had entered it 3 times the first year, before he had joined the underground gang that now provided him with food. So when his name was called out at the reaping, he was more fixed on what appeared to be a caterpillar fixed to the ear of the lady on the stage, than worrying about himself. Still, when it was, he felt the sense of doom fall over him. This was district seven: people rarely volunteered here. Nobody would take his place. With a sigh, he headed for the stage.
Wings, over in district four, sprang up to volunteer in place of the lanky 14-year-old whose name was pulled out of the box. He was 18 now - at the height of opportunity. A couple of other careers looked like they really wanted to volunteer, but a glare from him they fell back into place. They knew they could not take his glory. He joined the stage with the green lady and the girl he recognised from the academy. He didn't think too much of her: this year's girl's weren't a great bunch in the eyes of the academy. This girl had volunteered, but with- dare he say it- apparent reluctance. Still, he reminded himself not to be too complacent: there was something about her that made him nervous.

(this shall indeed take forever, but at least killing things shall happen soon- we can skip quickly through the first few events as an idea, so just drop in on the important things like them meeting, the presentation ceremony, the thingy where they prove themselves, when they get their scores, the interview, and then start in the cornucopia blah blah blah- good plan?)

Everyone was silent when the boy, a fifteen year old with no talent for anything was drawn for district one. No one else volunteered, for this year, it was obvious who was being submitted. Standing up, Logan had no close friends to nod goodbye to or family to smile at. When he volunteered, the silence remained, everyone watching on cautiously as he went up onto the stage. The girl, Maishana, was not well acquainted with him, but he had heard about her. They were rather well suited to one another actually, both willing to do what had to be done to get the job finished. He gave her a courteous nod, but no smile.
Karl's name was in twenty eight times, so he wasn't exactly surprised when he got picked. Slouching as he walked, he stood up on the stage and gave the cameras a cutsey little wave and stuck his tongue out, because he was on television and he'd be damned if he didn't abuse that. The girl, Jesse who was picked seemed completely hyperactive, tripping over her feet and giggling. However the whole district knew that she was the prime suspect in the case of a string of bizarre killings where victims had been stringed up trees and badly mutilated. Perhaps this would save her from the death of being dunked.
Dez had his hands stuck in his pockets as he wandered up to the stage, humming a funeral march to himself as he glanced over at the selected girl. He'd never seen someone who looked so weak, so innocent. No one volunteered for either of them though, so they were both doomed. Shrugging, he gave a wild grin over at Toro, who just rolled his eyes and gave him the finger. It was that kind of a friendship where one person gets sentenced to death and they were still able to joke about it. Dez made a mental note to yell a swear word shout out to Toto before he got impaled by anything.
Once he'd volunteered, Gabriel stubbornly walked up onto stage, did his best to act as they wanted him to and glowered at the group of boys who still called him names from the crowd, despite the fact he'd just saved their leader's ass by volunteering. When he won this, things were going to be different.
Iris couldn't die, she was far too young, fabulous and in need of getting laid to go off to the hunger games, where romance wasn't exactly likely to blossom and where her pretty little ass would get completely wasted on the world. Honestly, was there no justice?
Elaine got all riled up at the chance to freak out new people and was looking forward to cutting a few throats.
Daisy acted prissy and graceful as usual whilst mentally vowing to strike everyone down.

OKAY time for me to do the rest of mine:

Yuiko looked surprised as she was gently guided onto the stage, then watched with fascination a bird circle a tree in the orchard she could see through the buildings, as somebody else's name was called and a boy joined her on the stage.
Max sighed and rolled his eyes. It was never fair when the twelve-year-olds got picked. With a resigned wave to those around him, he volunteered in place of the scrawny boy, as he had promised he would do if a twelve-year-old were chosen. He had been, of course, trying to talk himself up, but death would be better than the humiliation of letting this boy walk to his death and going back on his word, so he walked up the steps of the stage nonchalantly, and proceeded to ignore the other girl, who he could swear was winking at him.
Sal gave a little cry as her name was called, then, giving hugs to all the other seventeen-year-olds around her before walking up to the stage. It was there the realisation hit her, and she struggled unsuccessfully to hold back tears as the lady pulling the names jabbered on at her.
Cas and the other girl stood on the stage, glaring at each other. "Ladies!" said the jovial man who was pulling names for district 2. "Let's do this process the right way! First, we introduce the reaping winner, then you two ladies may volunteer, and then-" the other girl hissed at Cas and turned to the crowd, interrupting the capitol man. "Listen, you punks. I'll let this bitch take the glory for now, but next year - when I am 18 - if one of you tries to stand in my way I will smash in your head." and she flounced off the stage. "Then... I guess we have our tribute for District 2! What's your name?" the man asked, as cas smiled in triumph. All her life had been coming down to this. Now she was ready for the thing she had trained a lifetime for. "Cas," she said.
Kazuki slouched up onto the stage, grunted at the girl with the braided hair and looked with disgust at the drunk guy who was supposed to be mentoring him. He bit his tongue and tried not to say anything that would be perceived as anti-capitol as the lady with the pink wig fussed about with non-existant volunteers. What a drag. At least it would serve to end his pointless life though. He looked through the crowd for anyone who might care that he was going to die and saw only relief in their eyes.
